Hotel Missoni

A companionship between the Hotel chain Rezidor and the old well renowned italian fashion brand Missoni has resulted in a really interesting hotel concept. For the website as well as for the hotels themselves, the unique visual experience is the main character.

When working with the concept for the hotel website we wanted to have visual experience of the hotel and the rooms as the main character, but we wanted the user to experience more. We came up with the concept of a layered user experience. An experience where the user is in control of different layers and can navigate them as desired.

With the Hotel Missoni we wanted to create a layered visual experience with more to offer than pretty looks.

The basic layer would be the visuals – large delicate images accompanied by background sounds, music and animation to underlay the feel of the hotel. On top of this, user would be able to overlay basic information about the hotel rooms, in depth stories about how the rooms was designed, narrated by Rosita Missoni herself, A shop layer, enabling the users to purchase any of the Missoni Home products in the rooms and of course booking information and possibilities of the excact room you are exploring. “Would you like to book THIS room?” – yes, please!.
