Building a home for you and your family all comes down to actually being able to do it – Having the time, the money, the tools and most importantly the knowledge to do the right thing. It all comes down to empowering the user.

In 2008 I was fortunate enough to get to work on a really exciting project for IKEA. IKEA had asked Triple Copenhagen for our input on their 2012 world wide digital strategy. For more than 6 months, a team of dedicated IKEA employees handpicked from different departments worked together with us to research, brainstorm, strategize, conceptualize and sketch out the future digital appearance of this major brand.

Along the way we really got into the material, the target users, the competition, the possibilities and the world surrounding building great homes with all that implies. We also got around to invent new methods of describing and presenting this material. All in all a really educational project.

I’ve never read this many interior design magazines and blogs in my life as in this period.
